Marking its 15th edition, the premier Vinitaly event features 150 wineries and introduces three inaugural categories\u2014Legacy Icon, Classic, and New Voices\u2014established by the authoritative American publication to update and refine the selection criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Legacy Icons<\/strong> comprise <strong>31 wineries<\/strong> appearing in every OperaWine edition: producers having shaped Italian wine history through an unwavering pursuit of quality and a pioneering role in the US market and beyond. <strong>Classics<\/strong> unites <strong>69 regional leaders<\/strong>, while the <strong>New Voices<\/strong>\u2014<strong>50 wineries<\/strong> founded since 1990\u2014represent the next generation of Italian viticulture for the current installment. Organized by <strong>Veronafiere\/Vinitaly<\/strong> and <strong>ITA<\/strong> \u2013 Italian Trade Agency in <strong>New<\/strong> <strong>York City <\/strong>on October 26\u201327, 2026, at Pier 36, the exhibition directly follows <strong>Wine Spectator\u2019s New York Wine Experience<\/strong> (October 22\u201324), a premier fixture on the international wine calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OperaWine 2026 debuts a new creative concept celebrating Made in Italy wine and the figures driving its evolution. Set in an imaginary landscape inspired by the monumentality of Italian architecture, symbolic protagonists of oenological culture observe and admire such heritage: from<strong> Leonardo da Vinci<\/strong>, passionate viticulturist, to <strong>Camillo Benso<\/strong>, Count of Cavour, among the architects of Italian wine modernization.
