The<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b> Museo<\/b><\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Molteni<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> explores the themes of innovation, research and quality of Italian design.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The permanent <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>collection<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> of forty-eight iconic pieces and original prototypes from several of the country&#8217;s top design houses such as <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Molteni&amp;C<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Dada<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Unifor<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> and <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Citterio<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> are now housed in a historical countryside villa which doubles as Molteni&#8217;s headquarters. It was one of the few businesses to originally guarantee that its products were the result of <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">a <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">fully integrated in house <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>production cycle<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">. The company also contributed greatly to the growth of the industrial area of Brianza, an area know for its centuries of excellence in woodworking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cucineditalia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Molteni-Archive.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18095 size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/cucineditalia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Molteni-Archive.jpg\" alt=\"Museo Molteni Archive\" width=\"595\" height=\"390\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 595px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 595\/390;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The inspiration for this museum began with an exposition for the Galleria d&#8217;Arte Moderna in Milano. At the end of the exposition, the idea became to continue to collect important and interesting information from the history of the company and to use it to create a working archive called the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Molteni Archive<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> \u2013 a place to be used as a home for the studio&#8217;s cultural patrimony and for future research as well. Overtime <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">more than<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> 4,500 documents have been collected along with prototypes, papers, photographs, videos and interviews, and the work isn&#8217;t finished yet. <\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The archive will soon be available on line as a reference for students and researchers and will also be connected to leading European foundations and institutions working in the world of design and architecture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Visitors to the museum will be able to take a first hand look at furnishings, unedited documents, designs, projects, graphics and more.
