The chair is the fruit of a 12-year collaboration between&nbsp;<b>Pedrali and CMP Design,<\/b>&nbsp;a bond that focuses on expression, technology, beauty and sustainability.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<h2><strong>Soaking Up Some Rays with CMP for Pedrali<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>\u201cGuinea is the name that the early Spanish explorers gave to an area of West Africa. This evocative name seemed the perfect choice for a chair that was just as ideal for soaking up the sun as it is place on the deck of a ship headed to the Galapagos Islands,\u201d CMP Designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new armchair by CMP Design presented during the 2023 edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano is realised in aluminium for outdoor use and&nbsp;<b>evokes the concept of lightness and transparency.&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hallmark of Guinea is its oil-treated&nbsp;<b>FSC\u00ae C114358&nbsp;<\/b>certified teak armrests, which fit into the aluminium frame by introducing a&nbsp;<b>vivid, tactile detail.&nbsp;<\/b>A durable tropical wood that the designers wanted to preserve through a moderate use. For this reason, each material fulfils a specific function: the frame is made of aluminium, with a large section that makes this chair very sturdy and strong,\u201d note the designers. \u201cThe part that comes int contact with the hands is made of&nbsp;<b>teak, a natural material that neither becomes hot under the sun nor cold during the winter,<\/b>&nbsp;so that it can be caressed. Therefore, we decided to use teach in the most important part, the part in contact with the hands.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>An Outdoor Chair of Enduring Quality<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Guinea backrest can be customised in various configurations, in this way, the armchair is able to&nbsp;<b>offer a <a href=\"https:\/\/cucineditalia.com\/en\/pedralis-outdoor-living-extension\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">variety of solutions<\/a> in terms of colour and more,<\/b>&nbsp;able to meet the taste and needs of every possible user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The version with a waterproof textile mesh backrest is reminiscent of the traditional director&#8217;s chairs, with an enhanced sense of&nbsp;<b>visual lightness.<\/b>&nbsp;The possibility of stacking the chair ensures maximum strength and functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The version with the&nbsp;<b>backrest<\/b>&nbsp;in aluminium slats features more traditional, archetypical forms.
