La Vie en Rose: Officine Gullo’s Pink Project

Architects Anna Covre and Frederic Tubau oversaw the renovation of their apartment in Venice, creating a harmonious blend of sophisticated color palettes and exclusive architectural elements. The pièce de résistance is the captivating Officine Gullo kitchen.

The building, located in the lagoon city’s center, features a great charm kitchen. The space is distinguished by white exposed beams that decorate the slanted ceiling, an architectural element that adds character and authenticity to the space and harmonizes perfectly with the contemporary design of the Officine Gullo professional kitchen, the true protagonist of the environment.

The chosen color was custom-made, the Pantone “Cream Tan” 13-1108. Paired with a polished copper finish for the edges and handles, it adds a touch of luxury and sophistication. The rest of the furnishings and coverings are characterized by light colors, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere.

The cooking area is equipped with a professional cooking range (OG Professional collection, model 288 cm) featuring two pairs of gas burners, a central coup de feu, and a ventilated oven. Two induction hobs complete the worktop, while on the sides of the machine, there are a pair of double drawers.

The kitchen is further enhanced by a custom-made hood that integrates perfectly into the space’s architecture. Behind the cooking area is a mirrored steel backsplash with chromed studs.

The washing area has a semi-recessed sink with a satin-finished steel step and a double- jet chrome faucet, a brushed steel basin, and polished copper details. Refrigerated drawers are hidden from view under the island countertop, thus maintaining a clean and tidy aesthetic.

The residence overlooks the rooftops of Venice, with views of the bell tower of St. Mark’s Basilica and a lush inner courtyard, rich with various plants and flowers. The building is clad in pink plaster, typical of Venetian architecture, with windows and balconies decorated with wrought iron railings. The tall and narrow windows are framed by arches and stone columns.

With this project, Officine Gullo celebrates Italian craftsmanship and design and the harmonious fusion between historic architecture and contemporary innovation. Thus, This residence becomes a perfect example of how tradition and modernity coexist in a unique and fascinating space.
