From the medieval pageantry of the Palio to the Douja d’Or and the display of the ATP Finals trophy: the complete schedule of events.
The Consorzio Asti DOCG bids farewell to summer by raising a glass to the 60th Douja d’Or, the historic wine fair running from September 11 to 20, set to animate downtown Asti with ten days of curated tastings, masterclasses, and gastronomic pairings. Unveiled today in Milan at Spazio 21, the 2026 edition features a dynamic partnership between the Piedmontese consortium and the Consorzio del Vermouth di Torino PGI, hosting an exclusive program in the courtyard of Palazzo Ottolenghi on Corso Vittorio Alfieri.
The Palazzo Ottolenghi Program: Masterclasses, Mixology, and Next-Gen Tastings
Kicking off the Consorzio Asti DOCG calendar on Sunday, September 13 at 7:00 PM is “The Colors of Asti DOCG”—an exploration into the nuances of Italy’s oldest sparkling wine appellation through a four-label tasting paired with artisanal sweet and savory pastries. On Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00 PM, the focus shifts to “Behind the Scenes of Asti Vibes,” dedicated to the consortium’s signature new cocktail blending Asti Spumante and Vermouth di Torino.
Rounding out the schedule on Friday, September 18 at 7:00 PM is the “Aroma Battle: Team Moscato d’Asti vs. Team Brachetto d’Acqui!”—an interactive blind tasting crafted for under-25 guests, challenging their senses to compare two quintessential expressions of Piedmontese viticulture.
Sport Meets Wine Culture: The ATP Finals Trophy on Display
The Douja d’Or will also intersect with elite sports: from September 11 to 13, the courtyard of the Diavolo Rosso will host the official trophy of the Nitto ATP Finals of Turin. Throughout the festival, guests can discover both Moscato d’Asti and Asti Spumante served neat or crafted into contemporary cocktails.
Beyond the Douja d’Or: The Palio di Asti and HummingFields Festival
The Consortium’s September presence extends to the Palio di Asti on Sunday, September 6, the historic medieval bareback horse race in Piazza Alfieri. In the reserved lounge at Palazzo della Provincia, guests can enjoy Asti Spumante, Moscato d’Asti, and the Asti Vibes cocktail. Setting the stage on Saturday, September 5, the Consortium’s branded Ape Glam will travel to Racconigi in the province of Cuneo for HummingFields Festival, an immersive electronic music event featuring 12 hours of live performances, four curated stages, and an international artist lineup.
