13.10 Ristorante is the first interior design project designed by Serena Confalonieri. A 25-cover boutique restaurant on the outskirts of Milan that combines the designer’s ironic and colorful stylistic signature with chef Marcello Passoni’s gastronomic philosophy, centered on Km0 ingredients and cultural influences from around the world.
13.10 Ristorante – The Warmth of Nature
The goal is to convey a domestic feeling, to give the idea of eating out but feeling a bit at home. The restaurant is developed around an inner courtyard, welcoming guests in an intimate setting, thanks to a rational but informal division of space. The warm and convivial interior ambience is characterized by bright but natural hues that recall the ingredients used in the kitchen: eclectic and vibrant patterns, bright colors, sophisticated furniture items and custom-made pieces.
Prestigious Collaborations In defining the interiors, the designer sought to engage a number of prestigious furniture companies that joined the project with their products and a series of custom pieces.
Among the main partners, HD Surface handled the wall and ceiling finishes, while Ceramiche Cielo signed the bathroom furniture. These were joined by a series of products designed by Serena Confalonieri herself: the Carnival wallpaper by Wall&Decò chosen for the bathroom, the Stilla mirror by Potocco that gives depth to the corridor that connects the entrance with the restaurant rooms, the Kyma tableware collection by Sambonet, and the Besana Carpet Lab rug made especially for 13.10 Ristorante.
Among the partner companies, Florim provided the ceramic wall tiles, Servomuto and MM Lampadari the pendant and wall lamps respectively, Fratelli Levaggi the typical handcrafted chiavarine chairs. Also among the designer’s signature products used in the project was the Scott jacquard fabric designed for Opificio, used for the custom-made benches and curtains in the entrance, and the Archie table by Medulum, the absolute star of the first room.

For the first time, Serena Confalonieri steps into an interior project: an opportunity to express to the full her creative, kaleidoscopic and colorful philosophy that it has always been applied to her products, graphics and fittings. The result is a concept extremely consistent with the designer’s aesthetic and design philosophy, made of soft contrasts and a balanced use of patterns and colors.
