Abimis Kitchen Redefines Parisian Luxury

The Abimis Ego Line is produced in an island version with a mirror-polished finish, which gives the kitchen an alternative and contemporary identity.

Overlooking Boulevard Saint-Michel in Paris, you will find a private residence with a balanced interior design, created through a blend of original 20th century elements and contemporary solutions.

The kitchen area represents the innovative research dimension, and is presented in the form of a uniform black box, with a custom-made wall cupboard that rises up to the ceiling, monolithic and compact, positioned between two openings, connecting onto the hallway and the dining room.

An Ego kitchen by Abimis in an island version is the pivot around which the entire room revolves, in total black, exalting the line designed by Alberto Torsello in AISI 304 stainless steel, customised here with the special handcrafted mirror-polished finish.

The kitchen thus blends with the surrounding space and changes its perception. It interacts with the light and is continuously transformed, offering a strong feeling of openness and lightness. The worktop – integrated into the block, with no joints and a raised drip-proof edge – is available in a contrasting, hand-orbitally polished finish.

For the Parisian residence, Ego offers a custom-made sink built into the worktop; an induction hob and a hood concealed in the top, making the aesthetics of this kitchen even more essential.
Finally, the front of the island facing the living area is a reflective and linear surface, without any interruptions, consistent with the design philosophy.

The wide range of customization possibilities for Abimis solutions is thus matched by professional design choices, which also facilitate the preparation, cooking and plating operations in domestic settings. According to this philosophy, every kitchen is available in AISI 304 stainless steel, a material suitable for contact with food, biologically neutral, and resistant to corrosion and high temperatures.

The recessed skirting board allows greater freedom of movement around the island, the removable shelves are high capacity, the compartments are refrigerated for food storage and the drawers are heated for maintaining the temperature of the dishes. The internal compartments are rounded and have completely invisible hinges – patented by Abimis – for easy cleaning. The handles are rounded and ergonomic, and the sturdy doors blend perfectly into the design with silent closing mechanisms.
