The world-renowned cypress-lined avenue of Bolgheri will once again be the stage for a spectacular dinner hosted by the Bolgheri and Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC Consortium, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the denomination and the unparalleled excellence of this wine region.
On Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, one of Italy’s and the world’s most important wine regions will be the setting for the new edition of Bolgheri DiVino. The event will feature a spectacular “Cena dei mille” – “Dinner for a Thousand” – along the iconic cypress-lined avenue of Bolgheri, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the denomination and the extraordinary quality of this unique terroir.
A Grand Return
After a three-year hiatus, the iconic dinner on the cypress-lined avenue, one of the most acclaimed events in the Italian wine world, returns to bring together the consortium’s associated producers and their guests for a special occasion. This exclusive, invitation-only event will see approximately 1,200 distinguished guests seated at a long table stretching over a kilometer, set along the famous cypress-lined avenue celebrated by Giosuè Carducci, a symbol of the Bolgheri landscape.
Bolgheri DOC Wines
This year, the 2021 Bolgheri Superiore and the 2022 Bolgheri Rosso have been released. The 2021 vintage was undoubtedly one of the greatest in Bolgheri’s history, perfectly expressing the depth, finesse, and elegance unique to the region. The 2022 Bolgheri Rosso wines exhibit moderate alcohol levels and excellent acidity, ensuring the freshness typical of the denomination. As for the 2023 vintage, whose first Bolgheri Rosso wines will be released in September, producers are very satisfied with the balance and harmony achieved.
