Gervasoni played a key role in a prestigious project developed by OTTO Studio for the renovation of Villa San Luigi, part of the exclusive resort Como Castello del Nero, nestled among the stunning Chianti hills in Tuscany.
This project transformed a historical private residence in a refined luxury retreat, where contemporary design harmoniously coexists with architecture and the surrounding landscape.
Villa San Luigi, which has its own unique identity in the resort, mixes together modern elegance and comfort, thanks to a fine selection of furniture that emphasizes the connection between tradition and innovation. The interiors were designed to welcome guests with warmth and sophistication, combining together natural materials, high-quality textures and design details that highlight both the Villa’s essence and Tuscan landscape.
For this project, Gervasoni furnished the villa with both indoor and outdoor furniture. For the indoor spaces, iconic collections were selected, such as Ghost, Gray, Loll, Log and Kubo, chosen for their balance between esthetic and functionality. While, for the outdoor spaces, the Jeko collection offers pieces that convey a natural appeal, perfectly integrated in the surrounding landscape.
This project highlights Gervasoni’s ability to adapt to prestigious proposals by giving solutions that enhance the unique personality of its furniture in every setting.
GHOST by Paola Navone
Various pieces of furniture from Gervasoni’s Ghost collection embellish the villa’s interiors, including the sofa Ghost 112 in the living room, the bed Ghost 80 in the night area.
The iconic Ghost design mixes elegance and contemporaneity, bringing comfort and flexibility in every room. Characterized by comfortable and enveloping seat, the historic collection owes its name to the white version of the chair, in which the fabric morbidly falls on the seat, reminding of what we commonly imagine a ghost to be.
The vast majority of Ghosts chairs are built with a soft shell and a comfortable cushion sitting. Its distinctive feature lies in its oversize cover: an oversize housse with visible stitching that can easily be removed and replaced to change the appearance of sofas, armchairs, poufs, chairs and beds. Ghost fits into any context, switching from a simple to a more sophisticated identity, aligning with the personality of who chooses it.
GRAY by Paola Navone
The Gray collection as well plays a key role in Villa San Luigi’s rooms, embellishing its spaces with a unique mix of vintage soul and contemporary design. This articulated collection of chairs, armchairs, sofas, tables and coffee tables combines the classic furniture’s austere elegance with the simplicity of its Nordic shapes, reinterpreting the solid wood of walnut or oak through sophisticated processes, integrating unusual materials such as stone, porcelain, marble and aluminum.
Different rooms are furnished with Gray coffee tables, characterized by neat geometrics and rounded tops, available in different heights and finishes. Their peculiarity is the slightly elevated edge of its surface, it recalls of tray and adds both functionality and elegance to its appearance.
In the bedrooms stands out the distinctive style of the collection, enhanced by Gray chairs and armchairs. On one hand, there are semi-circular embracing backrest armchairs with cushioned seats, perfect to decorate the room with sober elegance; on the other hand, a more essential version, characterized by a refined minimalism and structured wooden slats, enriches the rooms with lightness and personality.
The bergère Gray 06 takes center stage in the living room and captures the attention with its high and wrapping back, reminding of the classic Nordic style. Its essential structure in oak wood, combined with the soft cushions, gives an unrivalled comfort, perfect for relaxing and introspective moments.
LOLL by Paola Navone
Gervasoni’s Loll 09 armchairs are the main characters in Villa San Luigi’s living and dining rooms, which are combined in a multifunctional open space area, offering comfort and a sophisticated esthetic. Loll collection embodies the essence of the contemporary comfort. Each element is made unique by the artisanal care of details, the high-quality materials that are used and the careful workmanship. The armchair’s outline is defined by the traditional cut and sew seam, that highlights the morbid lines and the essential geometric, exalting its shape.
Loll armchairs have a completely removable coating, ideal for dynamic but elegant spaces. Thanks to its balanced proportions between the wrapping back and the generously stuffed sitting, the Loll armchairs not only embellish, but turn every room into a warming and relaxing space, elegant and perfectly functional.
JEKO by Paola Navone
Gervasoni’s Jeko collection embellished Villa San Luigi’s outdoor spaces with its exotic and sustainable style. On one hand, the dining area is furnished with the table Jeko 33: an elegant rectangular table topped with white Carrara marble, accompanied by matching chairs that create the perfect environment for enjoyable open-air conviviality. On the other hand, by the pool, there are sun loungers Jeko 81 with removable mattresses, coffee tables topped with Carrara marble and a fascinating canopies Jeko 07 that turn the area in a relaxing temple.
Jeko collection is inspired by the colonial style and finds its strength in the use of the ECOTeak, a material derived from the recovery of beams, and other elements in teak wood, that come from the authorized demolition of traditional houses on Java Island, Indonesia. Each piece is meticulously crafted: the recovered wood is cut, repaired, assembled, polished to highlight its natural grains, then hand-polished with chippings and canvas.
The elegance of the collection is embellished by the use of natural materials and sophisticated details: the canopy Jeko 07, with its ergonomic ECOTeak structure and a white curtain that guarantees intimacy, offers a comfortable and large seat. The sun-beds Jeko 81, with their essential outlines and a soft mattress, tables and coffee tables, embellished by a Carrara marble top, play a contrast between the wood’s robustness and the marble’s sophistication, adding a unique charm to the outdoor spaces.
