Imperfetto Lab’s new collection provides distinguishing features through a play of suggestive and never predictable contrasts and oxymorons. The element is desacralized, the classic form decomposed and reinvented, in which the most remote past is evoked in the genesis of furnishings that are contemporary, functional and innovative.
The plastic material redesigns nature in a dreamlike guise, the clean and solid geometries portrait seemingly impossible balances; the dimensions, also out of scale, offer illusory concepts that reveal unexpected lightness. Nature and its elements are the protagonists of a new sculptural vision. The primal, unstoppable force of fire is captured and shaped, transformed ultimately into furniture. What is consumed by flames, does not cease to exist: it changes into new forms, cloaked in black charcoal. This vision of destruction and rebirth is the inspiration behind a wide fiberglass bench, in which the traces of combustion are skilfully recreated through a series of smoothened ripples. This is an unusual, ever-changing seating, that grants a powerful charm to any kind of room.
