La Pista: Turin’s Restaurant on the Rooftop of the Lingotto

A spectacular location, a breathtaking 360° view of the Alps, Turin’s hillside and Renzo Piano’s glass and steel bubble, a lounge bar with a panoramic view of the city and a unique restaurant to experience contemporary Turin: La Pista is located in an iconic spot in the Piedmont capital, the roof of the Lingotto.

The concept, owned by Gerla 1927, is in fact located right in the middle of the legendary Fiat test track on top of the former industrial complex, now transformed into Europe’s largest suspended garden, with more than 40,000 plants belonging to 300 different species and varieties.

The restaurant represents the rebirth of a historic architectural complex that is now experiencing a new era. Large spaces, contemporary furnishings, huge windows and a welcoming atmosphere accompany and complete the gastronomic experience for guests.

Chef Roberto Cordisco, former sous chef at Enoteca Pinchiorri, offers his contemporary and international cuisine at La Pista.

Under the guidance of the maitre somellier Gianluca Calandra, the wine list offers more than 350 references that wink at Piedmont and its great vines, without forgetting the wines of the highlands and mountains: natural, organic and biodynamic wines.

Not to be missed is the champagne list, perhaps to be paired with oysters and crudités, which offers an exclusive selection of producers, all multi-awarded at the Lyon championships and imported directly into Italy by Gerla 1927.

Also noteworthy is the dessert menu, curated by Pastry Chef Evi Polliotto, former assistant to world pastry champion Michel Willaume.

To round off an unforgettable lunch or dinner, La Pista offers an experience that is unique in Italy: a tasting of Specialty Coffees 1895 Coffee Designers by Lavazza, a collection of coffees selected from the world’s finest products in their countries of origin.
