One of Porro’s most successful collaborations is with GamFratesi, the couple made up of Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi, whose particular approach to design stems from the encounter between the craftsmanship of classic Danish furniture and the conceptual process of Italian design.
Starting with the Traveller daybed, an iconic piece of furniture that plays on the rigorous combination of the essentiality of metal, the warmth of leather and the softness of the upholstered parts, it continues with the Voyage chair, which transfers its imagery to the dining room. Comfortable and enveloping, highlighted by Italian design, the Kite armchair approaches upholstery with the essential and sophisticated language typical of the brand, leading to Kite Sofa, the first sofa signed by the brand, where rigour and delicacy coexist harmoniously, a classic hallmark of Danish furniture.
Porro Traveller
Featuring a black painted metal trestle frame, Traveller is an elegant and original daybed. Support for the back is guaranteed by the side backrests on which the “saddle effect” leather is stretched, robust but at the same time softened by the presence of the seat mattress and two cushions covered in fabric, leather and eco-leather, with completely removable covers.
Voyage Porro chair
GamFratesi’s Voyage Porro chair with precise lines, Voyage takes its inspiration from 1950s pieces, bringing them up to date. The seat consists of an exposed structure in turned solid maple. A leather upholstery that fits perfectly over the structure gives shape to the backrest and seat, noted for its comfort and ergonomics.
Kite armchair – Porro
Characterized by a classic style, delicate and generous at the same time, the Kite armchair is characterized by an evergreen look and a timeless charm. The structure in metal rod is an outline of curved lines in space, while the internal padding recalls an enveloping coat with a folded lapel, creating an inviting support for the arms.
Kite Sofa Porro
The Kite Sofa, natural evolution of the Kite armchair, perfectly furnishes the living space with its plastic fan shape. A compact volume, Kite Sofa reveals its refined details to a careful eye: calibrated thicknesses, accurate proportions and the elegant curvature of the tubular structure that surrounds the internal padding.
