Material Narratives define the Kitchen as a Living Dynamic System Doimo Cucine and Estudio 44 redefine the kitchen through a Madrid-based dialogue of light, matter, and Italian mastery.
Some collaborations do more than inhabit a space; they transform it into a living narrative. Such is the alchemy between Doimo Cucine and the design visionaries at Estudio 44. In Madrid, two distinct projects stand as manifestos of a design that breathes, speaks, and adapts—kitchens where material, light, and daily gesture find a flawless equilibrium between function and beauty.
Operating out of Tres Cantos, just north of the capital, Estudio 44 brings over twenty-five years of expertise in curating exclusive interiors that fuse aesthetics with contemporary necessity. A historic partner of Doimo Cucine, the studio interprets Italian design with a distinct sensitivity, seamlessly tailoring it to the vibrant Spanish context.
Anchoring both interventions is the D23 model from the All-arounD system—Doimo Cucine’s answer to limitless, bespoke creation. Here, the ‘D’ denotes the dimensional logic of thickness, a substantial 23 mm that defines the architectural presence of the door.
In the first instance—a ground-floor renovation of a single-family home—open volumes amplify depth and luminosity. The smooth, four-sided D23 door orchestrates a dialogue between the technical sheen of Bronze satin lacquer and the organic warmth of Barley Walnut Tecnolam, framed by rigorous black aluminum structures. Integrated boiserie, backlit vitrines, and a sculptural 50 mm thick Dekton Laurent countertop resolve the space into an environment of elegant, calibrated detail.
Shifting to the second project, the same D23 typology adopts a more natural, tactile dialect. Fern Green Evosilk encounters the rhythmic texture of Cumin Slatted Oak Synchroface, grounded by a luminous Dekton Sabbia surface. Clean volumes prevail: the central island, defined by a triple intersecting groove, and the open compartments of the breakfast zone express a discreet conviviality, turning raw material into a daily language.
Both kitchens narrate Doimo Cucine’s MADE approach (MAstery + DEsign): a fusion of technical precision, project innovation, and aesthetic research. Together with Estudio 44, customization is transformed into storytelling, establishing the kitchen as the precise locus where measure, emotion, and identity find their ultimate balance.
