Contemporary lines and elegant volumetric cues enhance one of LAGO and MAD051’s largest design studio projects: Open. Hotel, in Rimini – the iconic seaside vacation destination where for decades Italians have flocked for relax, sun, sea, culture, art and events.
Open. Hotel, is in fact the hotel furnished by Contract Lab, a design studio born from the collaboration between LAGO, a leading design and interior decorating company, and MAD051, an innovative reality that selects and distributes materials and products for interior design, in direct relationship with production companies.
Open.Hotel’s Distinctive Stay
The hotel is the result of the search for a dialogue between two different souls of the concept of hospitality: one dedicated to the workplace, the other to luxury and lifestyle. This is how, nestled between beach, sea and the effervescent nightlife of the Romagna region, Open. Hotel is configured in a dynamic, sustainable and technological environment. A new concept of Smart Luxury designed to create fulfilling stay experiences and dedicated to travelers who love details, quality services and relationships.
The direction of Contract Lab, in collaboration with Isabella Matteini for Open. Hotel, made it possible to define the distinctive image of the receptive structure through the supply of materials with high technical performance and a selection of furnishings capable of pandering to every functional need oriented to hospitality.
Design Details
In the thirty-six rooms, including three suites with wellness area, the LAGO design style dialogues with contemporary lines and refined volumetric nods directed to contemporary comfort.
The mood, different for each room, is expressed by a geometric patchwork, provided by the interplay between refined surfaces and coverings. A peculiar interior choice capable of giving the space a three-dimensional emphasis, reconciling design and coziness.
Protagonist of the rooms is the lightness of the Air and Fluttua beds coupled with the authenticity of the N.O.W. storage solutions, which eliminate the perception of the closet thereby making the space feel contemporary and elegant.
The star of the ground floor is the lobby, the focal point and center of activity for visitors to the hotel. During the design phase, a distinctive touch was added to this area with a visual and tactile pathway offered by the centuries-old Wildwood that connects reception, bar area and breakfast room, taking on different functions depending on the settings.
Rimini for Leisure or Work Travel
Spaces dedicated to co-working also play a key role within Open. Hotel. Designed to encourage concentration and collaboration, they are intended to welcome workers while guaranteeing them maximum privacy within an interior context capable of conveying emotions and sensations of the highest quality, thanks to the materials selected by MAD051 Materials and the lightness of LAGO furniture.
