Giorgetti Embraces HBA’s Global Perspective. Hiraki: The Perfect Balance

Volumes and transparencies, lighting effects, and shadows and perspectives characterise the new HIKARI bar cabinet and sideboard designed by the award-winning HBA – Hirsch Bedner Associates, which has been the largest and most important international hospitality design company since 1965. With 23 offices, over 1,200 employees and more than 1,50 projects in 80 countries in the last 10 years alone, HBA brings its international vision and multidisciplinary approach to the Giorgetti world.

In a perfect balance of contrasts, HIKARI is a design in the name of versatility, a stylish companion for the rituals of everyday living, combining storage and display functions. It is both a storage unit/bar and a display case, a cabinet of curiosities where you can display your collections, your treasured objects, your precious sculptures, and create a setting where you can share your passions.

Characterised by a lightweight structure and metal profiles, the cabinets are closed on one side by an ash wood door, which conceals smoked glass shelves backlit by an LED light to enhance the contents. On the other side, there is a drawer and an open volume, a stage with a leather base that can also be used as a counter for preparing cocktails, framed by glass wings with metal profiles of different widths that follow each other in an alternation of solids and voids. The mirrored interior enhances its scenic qualities.

“Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the products in the collection stand out in any space while blending seamlessly into the environment and inviting you to admire their impeccable craftsmanship,” commented Scott McNeely, Global Creative Director, HBA Residential.

A collection that expresses the material sensitivity and attention to detail that HBA and Giorgetti share and that, through a careful selection of colours, textures and materials, aims to create a link between people and products, offering a sensory experience that involves sight and touch. One example of this is the annealed, shaded and tempered glass top, characterised by light ripples with a subtle wave effect, transparent in the open compartment and opaque above the closed compartment to prevent light from passing through.

“Every element of this collection reflects the core importance of craftsmanship in our designs. “HBA’s partnership with Giorgetti is the result of this shared mission and desire to create products that are not just design objects, but works of art,” commented Chris Godfrey, CEO of HBA.

Upon request, the sideboard can be equipped and integrated with a mini bar.
A sophisticated collection of products ideal for both residential and commercial uses.
