Created in 2015 by the firm of Nessi & Majocchi in conjunction with the vision of entrpeneur and founder of AS Hospitality, the Filiario Hotel takes its name from the threads of silk that were once produced in Como and the old factory that once stood where the hotel is now which made wires of iron.
Thirteen bright rooms, carefully designed in every detail, including two suites with private swimming pool and an infinity terrace overlooking the lake, welcome guests in a refined atmosphere, made even more charming by the essential and sophisticated furnishings designed by Alessandro Agrati, founder and creative director of Culti Milano.
The Filario Hotel inaugurates the new season with an increasingly large and equipped private beach and an infinity pool overlooking one of the most fascinating views of Lake Como, offering itself as the perfect destination for those seeking a stay of wellness, relaxation, food and wine, but also adventure, discovering villages and spectacular views.
All this is done with an increasingly “green” approach, based on an idea of responsible luxury, combining the excellence of Italian hospitality with an idea of sustainability at 360°.
“Sustainability has always been a mantra in our company and in 2021 it will play an even more central role – says Alessandro Sironi -. After a 2020 season concentrated in just four months, our first need is to protect employees by investing in human capital with a medium to long term perspective. Hence the decision to open at the beginning of May, also taking the opportunity to give a positive message to the hospitality and catering sector. We are aiming at a season full of satisfactions and we are working to attract more and more Italian customers.”
The evocative location is echoed by the equally meticulous, refined cuisine, which can be traced back to the territory, offered at the Filo restaurant.
The concept enriches its offer with an original vegan tasting menu, bringing the theme of sustainability into the kitchen and meeting the tastes and needs of an ever-growing slice of clientele. The young and talented Neapolitan chef Alessandro Parisi uses only seasonal Italian ingredients, mostly from small local companies, from the heroic viticulture of Valtellina to the fish from the lake.
A “foodie” experience guaranteed from morning to night at the Filario Hotel: from the a la carte breakfast to the “all day” menu offered at Yeast Side, the beach bar by the lake, where it is also possible to taste gourmet pizza at lunchtime and during the afternoon, accompanied by cocktails prepared by the resident mixologist Luciano Gusmeroli.
