BAM Open Air Design Event in Milan

The design event in Milan that is an exhibition dedicated to Outdoor Design among the flowering meadows of BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano.

BAM Open Air Design, within the cultural program of BAM 2023, is a project conceived by COIMA Image, in collaboration with the Riccardo Catella Foundation, entirely dedicated to the world of avant-garde design and outdoor architecture, set among the beautiful lawns and circular forests of the Biblioteca degli Alberi, in the innovative Porta Nuova neighborhood.

The Third Edition of the Design Event

The event, scheduled for June 7-10, 2023, stems from Alida Catella’s vision to give back to the city of Milan an event that is meant to bear witness to the epochal change we are experiencing and that sees regeneration, sustainability and beauty as the future of each of us.

The third edition confirms the participation of 11 leading companies – Artemide, Eco Contract | Living Ceramics, Florim, Gandiablasco, Gessi, Kartell, Lapalma, Lualdi, Medit, Molteni and Poliform – that enhance an iconic piece of their collections by displaying it within a renovated Red Circle, placed in the Park.

The Red Circle installations are an opportunity for interaction between product, environment and visitor and create a path of discovery among the trees at BAM, which celebrates the Nature-Culture pair in 2023 with more than 250 events.

Fostering the contamination between design, art, film, music, dance and cuisine, and strengthening the network between architecture firms, developers, operators and trade press, there will be several side activities, including bucolic and informal talks with special guests, workshops curated by Materially and moments of conviviality.
