Bellussi, the winery in Valdobbiadene (TV) owned by the Martellozzo family and dedicated to the production of sparkling wines and Prosecco, welcomes Demì, the new 375 ml bottle format: this is an innovative choice for the winery, which decided to focus on a format that for bubbles and sparkling wines could be defined as unprecedented or unusual.
Bellussi’s New Format
BellusSì Blanc de Noir Brut, a dry and fragrant brut sparkling wine made from a selection of Pinot Noir grapes, and Prosecco DOC Rosè Brut, a rosé made from Glera and Pinot Noir grapes with citrusy hints of pink grapefruit and notes of small red fruits, are the two wines, both already bottled in 750 ml, 1 l and 3 l formats, that will also be distributed in the new 375 ml bottle.
Demì, available both to Ho.Re.Ca. operators and on the shelves of large-scale organized distribution, was created as a result of the winery’s desire to embrace a broader target audience and meet the needs of those consumers who demonstrate a desire to indulge in affordable luxury and enjoy a quality wine without having to buy larger capacity bottles.
Thanks to its attractive packaging and versatility, the 375-ml format remains an expression of the quality that characterizes Bellussi labels. Demì is, for example, the ideal format for those couples who want to toast during a dinner party, to accompany a business breakfast or to indulge in a glass during an aperitif with friends.
“On a technical level, the investments were considerable,” says Enrico Martellozzo, who with his children Francesca and Giovanni heads the company, “in particular, we had to revise the entire bottling line by adapting the machines in our possession. In addition, we had to create a completely new bottle starting from a technical drawing made ad hoc to study its correct measurements and proportions: in fact, reducing the measurements of the pre-existing bottles was not enough to give life to this new format.”
