A total of 119 wineries and 310 labels ready to be tasted for a ten-day tasting event that takes off from Montalcino to also land in nine international cities: these are the numbers of the 32nd edition of Benvenuto Brunello, the pioneer event of Italian previews reserved for the prince of Tuscan wines, scheduled from November 17th to 28th.
Celebrating Benvenuto Brunello Around the World
A now consolidated autumnal format, organized by the Consorzio del vino Brunello di Montalcino,that, for the second consecutive year from the Sant’Agostino Cloisters of the medieval village, flies first to London on November 21st and then simultaneously to New York, Dallas, Miami, Toronto, Vancouver, Zurich, Shanghai and Tokyo on November 28th to celebrate Brunello Day, an international appointment that sees the number of foreign metropolises involved more than doubled.
At the christening in the glasses of the preview, Brunello 2019 and Riserva 2018 will be joined in the tastings by Rosso di Montalcino 2022 and the two other wines of the denomination, Moscadello and Sant’Antimo.

Beginning on November 17th and 18th the yearly weekend – already sold-out – willdedicated to the national and international press. More than 70 trade and non-industry journalists selected from Italy and abroad from the United States, Canada, South Korea, Brazil and Israel will attend while England, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands will represent the European territory.
In addition to these there will be about 20 operators including journalists, wine experts, buyers and foreign wine educators identified by the special incoming activity in collaboration with the Vinitaly International Academy.
The inaugural weekend also includes space for the presentation of the 2023 agronomic vintage and the awarding of the 32nd Leccio d’Oro prize, scheduled for Saturday, November 18th at Teatro degli Astrusi, at 11 am. This will be followed on the same day by the laying of the traditional commemorative tile dedicated to this year’s harvest at City Hall.
Meanwhile, Sunday, November 19th marks the start of tastings for trade professionals to whom six other days are also dedicated from November 20th to 22nd and November 25th to 27th. Next, Six Master of Wine, the expert members of the world’s most authoritative and oldest organization dedicated to the knowledge and trade of wine based in London, will meet on November 20th for the evaluation of new vintages, while the last weekend of November – November 25th to 27th – is reserved for wine enthusiasts.

Finally, the Benvenuto Brunello program closes with the round-the-world Brunello Day scheduled for Monday, November 28th, anticipated by the London date of November 21st.
