Fonzone Caccese: a family history

Founded in 2005, the Fonzone Caccese winery is located in the countryside of Paternopoli, one of the seventeen municipalities of the Taurasi DOCG in the province of Avellino, in the heart of Irpinia. On a hill located in the “Campi Taurasini” subzone, stands a modern winery of 2,000 square meters surrounded by vineyards whose altitude varies from 360 to 430 meters above sea level. Fonzone produces a total of eight labels with a sustainable approach, making the most of the native grape varieties of Aglianico, Falanghina, Fiano d’Avellino and Greco di Tufo while focusing on sartorial wines rather than mass production. Supporting this large family that has made wine its passion is renowned consulting winemaker Luca D’Attoma.
