Under the California Sun: An Open Kitchen in Napa

A brand new outdoor version of Atelier by Abimis, designed for a private residence in Napa Valley and created specifically to meet the needs of kitchens made in the USA.

Napa Valley, one of the top wine regions in the world, with its numerous vineyards and prestigious wineries, its gastronomic culture, history and artistic and cultural events, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in California.

Right in the heart of the Valley, an exclusive villa surrounded by rolling hills features a special outdoor version of the professionally designed Atelier kitchen, styled to meet the typical needs of American outdoor cooking.

An Outdoor Kitchen that brings Living Outside

Aidlin Darling Design, the studio that designed the Abimis kitchen for indoors, also created a second ‘open-air’ kitchen for the property, again in collaboration with Abimis, placing it in the most evocative part of the large green space surrounding the house, with its extraordinary view of the area.

Made of concrete, the kitchen houses grills and barbecues, as in the best American culinary tradition, and is presented as a clean piece of architecture with essential and rigorous lines, reflecting the typical square design of the Atelier line. The practical worktop separates the two cooking modes, while the lower part of the outdoor kitchen is completed by a spacious open compartment for storing wood and the AISI 304 steel compartments, with doors finished in anthracite and large ergonomic handles.
