The beach bar at Filario Hotel in Lezzeno is enriched with a selection of bubbles, all exclusively Italian.
The summer at Filario Hotel & Residences, on Lake Como, promises to be more sparkling than ever: starting Wednesday, June 21, and for the entire season, in fact, Yeast Side-a beloved private beach bar at the Lezzeno hotel-will be transformed into the unprecedented Bubble Bar By Coravin, with an exclusive selection of Italian bubbles served by the glass.
The location finds itself on the western shore of Lezzeno close to Bellagio.
“Ever since our opening in 2015, the beach bar,” says Alessandro Sironi, founder of AS Hospitality and manager of Filario Hotel & Residences, “has proved to be a gem in Filario’s offer, contributing to making it a unique destination of Lake Como, precisely because it was built on a private beach from which one can enjoy the breathtaking view of Villa Balbianello, nearby Bellagio and the mountains of the upper lake.
For the summer of 2023, we wanted to embellish the Yeast Side’s offer, including an ‘all day’ menu with gourmet pizzas accompanied by the cocktails of resident mixologist Luciano Gusmeroli, adding a selection of the best ‘made in Italy’ bubbles, served by the glass thanks to the use of Coravin Sparkling devices.”
The bubbles on the menu at Filario’s Bubble Bar, all Italian, will be preserved with Coravin Sparkling, the penultimate addition to the Coravin family, designed to maintain the freshness of perlage and effervescence of sparkling wines for up to four weeks.
At Bubble Bar by Coravin, lakeside it will be possible to take a “sparkling” journey through the Belpaese in five all-drinking stops. It starts with Cantina Lunae, in the Levante Ligurian region, where grapes grow caressed by the sea breeze, which will offer its Cuvée Lunae Brut Metodo Classico Millesimato made from the traditional Albarola and Vermentino grape varieties.
Next comes Montelvini, a Veneto-based winery that is an ambassador for the Asolo area, located in the heart of the DOCG of the same name, which will offer Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Brut, a reference characterized by minerality, savoriness, and creamy perlage, which add to the freshness of the Glera grape variety.
Then we move on to Torre Rosazza, a reality located in one of the most important historical centers of Friulian viticulture with Ribolla Vino Spumante Brut Torre Rosazza, which has found remarkable expression in the sparkling version and is characterized by its surprising freshness and light alcohol content.
Representing Franciacorta is Villa, a winery embraced by the hills of Brescia, which will bring Diamant 2018 Pas dosè, a label that is an expression of terroir with a strong personality given by a deep harmony between taste and smell.
It then goes all the way to Campania with I Borboni, a winemaking enterprise handed down from father to son, committed to the enhancement of the millennial tradition of Asprinio d’Aversa. For the season, they will offer their Spumante Brut on the menu, a 100 percent citrusy Asprinio, the result of the Martinotti method.
On Wednesday, June 21st, Bubble Bar will open its doors for an inaugural toast exceptionally accompanied by offerings from the kitchen of the adjacent Filo restaurant. Here, since 2017, Neapolitan chef Alessandro Parisi has been leading the brigade by offering elegant and refined cuisine, characterized by a meticulous search for quality and a fresh and refined style, whose distinctive feature remains the link with the Italian spirit.
Coravin-the American company that has revolutionized the way wine is stored and tasted-has been offering experts and enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy wines by the glass without consuming the entire bottle, eliminating the risk of oxidation or alteration of the product for a good 10 years.
