Villa Cool Blue in Marbella: Mediterranean Luxury and a Unique Kitchen Design

A striking villa in Marbella, on the Costa del Sol, designed by Dutch architecture firm 123DV, Villa Cool Blue is embellished with a modern kitchen made of HIMACS.

Villa Cool Blue: A Mediterranean Oasis by 123DV

123DV was the firm responsible for the completion of this large Spanish family residence, a spectacular 620-square-meter modern villa. The owners wanted a home that had a close connection to the sea and fit into the Mediterranean landscape – a challenge the firm met by installing large windows and a dramatic outdoor pool.

Cool Blue’s interior is dominated by a modern, eye-catching style that enhances the white furnishings and walls to amplify their brightness and spaciousness. The use of wood on some of the backlit walls creates a contrast with the white, as do the stairs in the hallway, where interior designers chose a burnished hue to give warmth to the space.

In the kitchen, the impressive central island made of HIMACS by the Dutch brand Culimaat becomes the star of the room. The size and geometric shape of the island enhance the contemporary style of the house.

“The main attraction of Cool Blue is the kitchen island made of HIMACS, a durable material of the highest quality. Its triangular design makes it the perfect connection between the wall and the glass facade,” explains 123DV.

With a glass-ceramic sink and cooktop integrated without visible joints in the structure, this kitchen island is the ideal combination of design and practicality, with various hidden options for storage space. Similarly, the wood paneling on the walls features integrated appliances to enhance the flow of the room and increase the feeling of space. The walls extend into other rooms and even the basement, giving continuity to the interior of the house.

The Advantages of HIMACS

The Solid Surface material HIMACS, processed and installed by Culimaat, was the perfect choice for this space, ensuring maximum hygiene and safety and an unparalleled appearance. IIMACS is durable, water-repellent, and resistant to heat and even very “aggressive” chemicals. In addition, the joint-free surfaces of HIMACS prevent the spread of germs, viruses, and bacteria.

The design of the island, formed by geometric lines, is in perfect harmony with the kitchen floor plan, creating an environment whose spaciousness catches the eye. Elements such as the glass-ceramic sink and cooktop are seamlessly integrated into the central structure. In addition, the use of glass walls gives natural light to the space, connecting it to the outdoor garden that surrounds the villa.

All the Lux of Villa Cool Blue   But Villa Cool Blue is not only a luxurious and comfortable villa, it is designed for the maximum convenience of residents: all technical devices can be operated from smartphones or tablets, including the lamps on the facade. These illuminate through vertical slits, creating a warm and cozy feeling.

The undisputed highlight outside is the large swimming pool with transparent corners, which perfectly matches the Mediterranean character of this beautiful villa.
